Hello Carl,
Thank you for posting your question on Microsoft Community Forum.
In addition to the steps stated above, I would have you run a System File Checker (SFC) scan to check for any system files corruption.
- Go to Start, click All Programs and open Accessories.
- Right click on Command Prompt in the Program list and then select Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click OK, or else click Yes.

Hi! I have gone through all these steps - and nothing has fixed the problem.
It started just after I set up the computer - the problem is immediately after, I left for an extended stay oversees.. So I can't take it back to get it fixed for another month - in the meantime it is quite an annoyance.
the pop up occurs upon reboot 5 or 6 times then is quiet mostly except for the occasional pop - but I really can't associate it with anything specific.

Hi,
I recently bought a new Dell Inspiron laptop. After configuring windows updates were available so I asked to download and install those updates. After installing the updates I got the error message once I put on the system and the login screen appears. The command prompt does not show any error. Can you please suggest.
